repetition
Repetition in photography refers to the repeated use of shape, color, or other design in an image (Flye, 2011). I found a lot of repetition all around where I live, and I enjoyed photographing it. The header image for this page shows three picnic tables in a row. The first showcase photograph shows the repetition of the swings sitting still. I also love that there are some repeating rocks in the background behind the swings, so there is really double repetition in this photograph. The second image shows the repetition of the fence posts at my mother-in-law’s property. The third photograph is a rug, and there is repetition within the circles and patterns in the middle, and there is also repetition in the patterns on the outer edges of the rug. The last image is hanging origami. I love the repetition of the little origami swans all hanging in a row in front of the window.
