diagonal lines
Diagonal lines were very easy to find in my everyday life, so when I started looking for diagonal lines, I saw them everywhere. According to Eftaiha (2010), diagonal lines work together and help guide the viewer to the main subject of the image, but I also think that diagonal lines can lead the eyes to different and interesting directions and points within an image. The header image on this page shows the handicap accessible rails leading to our community center gymnasium. These rails are diagonal lines. The first showcase image shows a diagonal wooden fence. The diagonal pieces of wood cross each other to make a diagonal fence. The second photo is of the cubicles at my office. They cross in the center making four desks, you can even see through the glass to see the cubicles in the back and their lines, and when viewed as a photograph, many of the lines appear diagonal. The third photo is a temple in Tulum. The angle that I took the photograph from shows all kinds of diagonal lines in different directions. The last image is of rooflines. There are several different diagonal directions that the lines of this roof are following, and these diagonal lines make this roof very beautiful and interesting, along with the beautiful rusted tin.
