My final reflection
Project 5 Final Reflection
Introduction
To be honest, this was the most challenging course I’ve ever taken. However, because of all of the challenges I faced, this course has taught me a tremendous amount in a small amount of time. I have enjoyed every single project that we completed in this course. Each project has had its own unique set of challenges, but I was incredibly proud of the final result of each of my projects. This final project is no different. I am proud to showcase all of my hard work on one website for my friends and family to see.

This final project is no different. I am proud to showcase all of my hard work on one website for my friends and family to see.
Challenges
Each project brought its own set of challenges. For example, project one’s biggest challenge was time management. Project two had two significant challenges: 1) taking all of the pictures for my comic strip, and 2) creating the layouts of my comic strip pages. Project three’s biggest challenge was coming up with the idea for my photo story. Project four’s significant challenges were coming up with the idea for a workshop and then planning the workshop. Since project five is a culmination of all of these projects, I think the biggest challenge I’m facing for it is making sure I have all of the requirements on each and every page to showcase my work in the way that is required by Dr. Baylen. Of course, I want my final project to be perfect, so this is the challenge that I’m facing most. |
Lessons Learned
Within each project, I have learned so many lessons. I’ve learned the importance of using comics in the classroom. I’ve learned how to use the application, Comic Life. I’ve learned the elements and principles of photography. I’ve learned how photo stories can increase student engagement in the classroom. I’ve even learned how to create my own professional development workshop! For project five, I truly believe that what I am learning most is how to organize a portfolio in the best way possible using a very specific rubric. This is a skill that I have been learning throughout this entire course. Analyzing and following the rubrics are crucial to the success of this class, and I have improved my own use of this skill tremendously with this class.
Conclusion
In conclusion, I have to admit that I have loved this class. I am so proud of each of the projects that I have completed. There were times that I was stressed because of how much I needed to get done in a small amount of time on the weekends, but I always came through and finished. I have gained so much knowledge from this course, and I have gained the technology skills to improve student engagement by using different types of technology in the classroom. My Weebly site portfolio will be shown to friends and family because I am proud of all of the work it includes. Thank you, Dr. Baylen, for the inspiration.
